Day 18: #SunriseProject
It was a bit chilly out this morning.
14 degrees when we left the house.
Day 17: #SunriseProject
It snowed last night.
We got about 5 to 6 inches of snow in the valley. There was probably more at the top of Berthoud Pass.
Day 16: #SunriseProject
Berthoud Pass. Saturday, April 11, 2020. 6:33am.
Typically, this road would have THOUSANDS of cars on it on a Saturday morning in April.
Day 15: #SunriseProject
I have this thing with the listed sunrise time.
If you’re watching the sunrise in Key West, the sunrise happens exactly at the time stated.
Day 14: #SunriseProject
We have a lot of dead trees in our area courtesy of the mountain pine beetle.
According to the Colorado State Forest Service, 1 in 14 trees are dead in Colorado forests.
Day 12: #SunriseProject
Never in a million years did I think I would be photographing the moon during the #SunriseProject.
But, alas, it was too cool not to shoot!
Day 11: #SunriseProject
I was driving through Winter Park the other day and noticed that Randi’s had a banner hanging on its building.
It said, #WPSTRONG.
Day 10: #SunriseProject
We hadn’t tried photographing the sunrise from Winter Park Highlands so that’s where we headed today.
Day 9: #SunriseProject
Today was the first day I was frustrated.
We decided to head to the Fraser Cemetery.
Day 8: #SunriseProject
Today, we had planned on going somewhere else to shoot.
But we saw a gap in the clouds over Devil’s Thumb and changed our plans.
Day 7: #SunriseProject
We had a visitor today.
A FOX!
David saw it way down the road and made the comment, “Wouldn’t it be cool if the fox walked right into your photo?”
Day 6: #SunriseProject
This morning was amazing.
We left Tabernash and decided to turn onto County Highway 83 off of Highway 40 and park on the road, right near the Fraser River.
Day 5: #SunriseProject
It was another cloudy morning.
But this morning, there was a break in the clouds.
And then the mountains started glowing.
Day 4: #SunriseProject
Today’s sky was full of clouds.
Gray clouds.
They seemed to go on forever.
Day 3: #SunriseProject
Some clouds and some clear skies this morning.
We saw some colors.
It was cold out.
Day 2: #SunriseProject
It snowed last night.
Which brought with it some clouds.
It was so cloudy this morning I wasn’t sure if we were going to see any evidence of the sun.
