Day 9: #SunriseProject

Today was the first day I was frustrated.

We decided to head to the Fraser Cemetery.

I thought that there would be a good view of the Divide.

But it was almost like we were too close to the mountains…yet not close enough.

It was weird.

I struggled with the question: “Am I taking a picture of the sunrise if the sunrise is not in it?”

Or is sunrise an experience?

I had to let go of what my ideal of sunrise was and work with what I had.

The thing is, I love it when there are clouds resting on James Peak and Parry Peak.

This should have been one of my favorite days.

But I let the “rules” I had set for myself get in the way.

I had to let those go.

And let Mother Nature do her thing.

My only job is to show up and take pictures.

Everything else is out of my control.
