Day 63: #SunriseProject

It was foggy in the Valley this morning.

And humid from yesterday’s rain.

I’m always surprised when there is moisture in air in the mountains.

As a native Midwesterner, I haven’t quite grown accustomed to Colorado’s dry climate.

Here, I go through BOTTLES of lotion a year.

Back home, I’m not sure if I ever made it through a full bottle before I got bored of it.

I’m very thankful that we got rain yesterday. This past weekend, when we were hiking (really bushwhacking our way back to the car), I never realized how dry the forest really is.

It’s *really* dry.

But this morning, the forest floor was damp and everything smelled like spring.

It was a nice change of pace.
