Day 56: #SunriseProject
For the love of the game.
I wish I was one of those people who found (and followed) their passion when they were 7.
They just KNEW, from a very young age, that they were meant to be an artist or doctor or firefighter or barista.
I mean, I don’t know a lot of 7 year olds who exclaim, “I want to be the Vice President of Sales someday!”
But maybe this is all wishful thinking.
Maybe we don’t know what we *really* like until we are exposed to hundreds of different options....
...and maybe when we find THE THING that thing will eventually change into something else too.
If I went with my passion at 7, I would probably own a horse training facility now.
But passion is one thing. Dedication to that passion is another.
I guess I just figured that if you found your passion, dedication would come along with it.
Like, they are a set: PASSION & DEDICATION -- not sold separately.
But I don’t think that’s how it works…
...that just because we found our passion we wouldn’t NOT want to work on it…
...that everyday of our passion-filled life would be exciting and invigorating...
...that we wouldn’t even CONSIDER not doing the thing we were meant to do!
I’m sure that’s not how it works.
My guess is that it’s probably more of an attitude:
“I will do the work. And through the doing, I will be fulfilled and find what I’m meant to find.”
