Day 44: #SunriseProject

I classify mountains as either Friendly or Angry.

See, in the Fraser Valley  and in the majority of Middle Park, really), we have rolling mountains.

They have soft lines.

They look approachable.

So I call them Friendly Mountains.

Now, the mountains that have really jagged peaks and harsh lines who you’d be nervous to introduce to your parents…

Those are the Angry Mountains.

We only have a handful of Angry Mountains in Grand County.

...and they’re not even *that* angry.

They’re more angsty.

These are as angry as they get.

If you want to see some angry mountains, check out the San Juan Mountains.

Or the Dolomites.

Those probably take the cake.
