Have you ever noticed the sound of a place?
I’ve been big into sound since this project started.
Every morning we go out, I always assess how it sounds.
Can I still hear the main highway? (A two-lane highway.)
If so, how loud is it?
Can I hear the birds?
Is that a river?
It’s 6:40am. The train should be rolling through soon.
The sounds that happen at the bottom of the Fraser Valley are amplified by the surrounding mountains.
They roll up the hillsides...
...making it sound as if we were standing right next to the highway.
Today’s spot was pretty quiet.
Although, we could still hear the train roll through at 6:40am.
